My buddy Rocky

RIP Rock I love you brother! - Your buddy

Today is a happy day and a very sad day for me. I am excited to start 2021, but last night before 2020 ended I got a call… One of my longest standing clients and my best friend died last night. This one hit me very very hard. It really sucks when your old enough to see your friends die.

I have been coaching Rocky for 20 years! And through this time we became best friends and brothers. A lot of coaches talk about how close they are to their clients, but everyone who knows me knows that my clients become family to me. My brother Rocky was as much a brother as my twin is.

We went from a nothing fat guy to a national masters champion in bodybuilding with a room filled with trophies! We were even planning on a couple more in 2021!

But I am most sad that I will not get to hang out with my buddy, talk to him each week, and help him do what he loved doing the sport of bodybuilding which was competing!

Rocky was my friend. He was a father and he was a sincere and good man. My life is better for knowing him. Thank you Rock! You always used to say how I helped you, but Rocky… you helped me more than you know. I just wish we had more time buddy for me to tell you thank you.

You believed in me when I wanted to give up, you gave me an office when the gym didn’t want me there because the trainers were upset that everyone wanted to work with me and not them, and you were always my friend. A good friend!

You may have made your transition, but we will meet again brother! We will meet again! I love you Rocky! We were a great team!

I am love. I am joy. I am so very good. And so are you Rocky! Go Vikings!
(Here is just one of hundreds of pictures we took after a contest!)
