The statement that changed my life several years ago, and confirmed within me something that I have always felt so strongly. What I think about is real and my body doesn’t know the difference between what I imagine and what really happens. Some think because logically we can know that what we think about is only in our mind that what we think about has little or no power. What we think about can bring us to the depths of depression, it can spin us into a frenzy of anxiety, give us panic attacks and make our bodies race with fear. But our imaginations can also fill us with love, give us hope, and comfort us just by the images and ideas that we focus on. And we feel it all in our bodies.
We are the only animal that I know of that has this wonderful ability to imagine our dreams and to then make these visions become something more. The power of our minds is the most underestimated super power that we all possess. No matter what we each believe, our minds are so powerful that we can then find the evidence of our beliefs all around us, but only the evidence in what we believe in.
What we believe is merely just a repetition of thought. Something we continue to think over and over. The proof that we use to justify these truths and any belief we have are just the excuses that we use in order to allow ourselves to believe. No matter what the reasons we use are, it is us who give power to our ideas that become our truths and beliefs. We are the magicians of this universe that weave the spells of logic and reason in order to allow ourselves to find the truths of our time.
The only absolute truth that I know that can not be manipulated by any kind of logic is that I am. I exist in this time space. And so when my imagination goes down those roads of despair, or anxiety, then I focus on what I know for sure about myself. I focus on my highest truth that I know for sure. I am love. I am joy. I am so very good. And I am always centered and comforted.
