New Moon

“Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” - George Bernard Shaw

Today it is a New Moon which signals the first phase of our lunar cycle and for many it is a time to set intentions, start new projects, adjust goals and create our sacred spaces for change. But no matter what cycle the moon is in, now is always the best time to change anything in my life that I feel needs it.

I used to only set specific times in the year when I would set goals or evaluate my life. Today however, I know that each day is the best day to look at what is working and do more of that. Or to look at what isn’t yielding to me what I want and to start changing that. But change requires more than just an intention. Change requires me to work on what created my situations and my desires. Change requires me to adjust my thinking and ultimately my perspective on that desired topic that I might want to change.

Changing ourselves isn’t really hard to do. What usually makes change so difficult is that we all have a hard time seeing life and ourselves differently than we currently do. Change requires me to see myself and my life in new ways. If I can not do this then I am destined to continue to repeat my past.

So I must be like the chameleon changing the colors of my mind in order to realize all the wonderful things I may want to draw to me in my life. But no matter what, I still know that I can’t get it wrong. I can never mess my life up. I can only have experiences that either help me feel my wellbeing or not.

I am entitled to feel the joy of life as often as I can bring myself to feel it. And I am entitled to feel the love that exists within me. I change only to make myself a better match for love, for joy and for all the goodness that I am.

I am love. I am joy. I am so very good. And so are all of you.
