Happy

“Happiness is when you can say, with complete sincerity; I do

I used to think that happiness was a place we reach in our lives. But today I know it is a state of being in this world. It is an orientation to my experiences. I must choose to be joyful, loving and excited in order to cultivate my happy life. To me this means deeply connecting with others, adding value to my own experiences and to the experiences of others, and exploring my feelings of joy and love each day.

All I ever need do is look around my life and I can so easily find such glorious things that please me. Yes, I can find other stuff too that displeases me, but I do my best to not give too much of my attention to these aspects of life. The most important choices that I can make each day are the choices that nurture my joy. I take them very seriously because they are the fabric of my great life. 

But I don’t have to have these reasons to feel joy either. I can allow joy to rise up within me simply because this is who I know I am on the inside. If you want to call it sprit or soul, it doesn’t matter, this larger part of me is pure joy, I am made of the energy of pure love. And when I quiet my mind and body I allow my true nature to rise up within me and I begin to feel the power of my fullness. I am truly happy.

I am love. I am joy. I am so very good.
