Mastering your motivation

“Every moment is a fresh beginning.” - T.S. Eliot

Stop keeping score of the bad stuff in your life! One of the major factors for losing your mojo when pursuing your goals is the constant attention of where you are NOT at and what you see as your struggles. A good example of this is when you jump on the scale each morning and realize in a flash that you are NOT at your weight goal, or when you are trying to maintain 5AM cardio sessions daily and you just hit the snooze button instead, then we can end up feeling guilty or worse, we feel like we are failing even though we are actually improving.

The truth is, motivation must be cultivated daily. In order to stay highly motivated we each must become a master of our own motivation. We each must understand our deepest “WHY” and know how to continually remind ourselves of our reasons for doing all that we may be challenged to do in order to accomplish our goals.

Nurturing your own motivation means you must have daily practices that help remind you of your deepest “why.” Activities or practices that give you the excuse to focus your intentions on what you are trying to create. The catch is, you have to be excited and joyful through this process. It is our positive emotion that creates a powerful agent of change within and allows us to see our behaviors and activities with the meaning that helps us achieve and press on when things feel uncomfortable.

This mindset part of my coaching is where I get excited the most. Many of my clients hire me solely to have our weekly conversations because they learn and grow so much personally from our lessons on mindfulness and perspective. The journey of transformation must include this mindset piece because what we are actually doing when we transform, we are changing who we are in this experience. Changing the body means changing thoughts, beliefs, behaviors and habits. You have to change them all to have a real transformation that sticks.

If you want to find clarity on some things that might be holding your transformation back, book a discovery call with me and let’s talk deeply. If I can help you I will make you an offer. If not I will refer you to someone who I believe can help you. I don’t take everyone that asks me to help them but I will always talk to you and give you my honest and sincere opinion.

I am love. I am joy. I am always so very good.
