You are your most honored guest

“You have the freedom to be yourself, your true self, here and now, and nothing can stand in your way".” - Richard Bach, Jonathan Livingston Seagull

So many of us feel misunderstood and under appreciated these days. Everyone wants to be respected and honored but no one really wants to give anyone good reasons to do so. The truth is, none of us really needs anyone to do this for us. However, just being alive and breathing seems to be the only prerequisite for many to demand respect of others in our culture. For some like me, I take a different approach to honoring and respect. I give what I hope to receive but in order for me to feel honored in this life, I honor myself, I respect myself and I love my self beyond all else. This is the only way I can offer it in return to anyone.

I do my best these days to fill my own cup first before I pour out from myself to others. I do a lot of pouring throughout the year because I work with transforming bodies and lives. This kind of work requires that I am always positive, that I always have higher energy levels and that I am always on my “A” game. So loving who I am always comes first so that my own internal batteries get recharged constantly. And when they get low, I take my time off. I eat good food. I sleep more and I relax more. I meditate more and I talk lovingly to myself often. I treat myself like the most honored guest in my life.

What goes on inside our heads has more to do with your emotional energy levels than most give credit. We feed the fire of emotion with every thought we think. So be mindful of the stories you tell yourself about you. Become a master at spinning your life’s experiences in such a way that you always feel encouraged and uplifted each time your head comes up from your pillow each morning. Honor your journey in this life by loving yourself enough to give yourself a break. Love yourself enough to tell yourself that everything you have done so far is good enough. And love yourself enough to accept within you all that you are. It has always been and will always be more than good enough. And always remember that you are your life’s most honored guest. Treat yourself with love always and your life will love you back.

I am love. I am joy. I am so very good always.
