Letting Go and Allowing Your Inner Perspective

"...when we change what our life is telling us, then our lives transform."

THBM:
“The greatness of the man’s power is the measure of his surrender.” – William Booth

Surrendering to our current condition and circumstance is essential to feeling peace in our lives and to having mastery over it as well. While we only control what we think and what we do, we can still guide our lives not by forcing life to yield to us exactly what, when, how and where we would like, but rather by embracing our existing conditions, accepting where we are now and allowing our lives to unfold as it intends. This kind of acceptance of our lives connects us with our inner most self and allows us to experience our world as we have elected to focus our perspective. There is always a good reason to worry just like there is always reason to celebrate. We get to decide which we are going to participate with by the choices of our focus and by the internal messages we tell ourselves about that everything. The vantage point we have decided to view any circumstance through will dictate what we see and experience in those experiences. Most importantly, the perspective we are choosing in that moment, leads us to how we feel right then and there. We don’t change our world by forcing it to be as we want instantly, but rather we change our world by how we view what is there already. Just as the late Dr. Wayne Dyer says: “If you change the way you look at things, then the things you look at change.” We only change the meaning that we ascribe to the events and the things in our lives. But when we change what our life is telling us, then our lives transform. I am love. I am joy. I am so very good.
