Diet Life

“Looking and feeling the way you want about your body takes more than a great physique and good health it takes modalities in mindfulness, nutrition, exercise and mindset.” -Tadayoshi Inoue

I am pretty sure I have spent most of my adult life on some kind of diet. Trying to cut and diet for shows or bulking up and adding muscle. For over 38 years I have been tooling around with my body and body composition. It has earned me recognition in bodybuilding and given me a career as a nutritionist and diet coach.

And I am still architecting diets for myself and my clients. We never out grow our need to offer the kind of love to ourselves that only a good activity plan and nutritional plan can offer. I don’t have to preach this any more. Most people really understand this these days.

We all want to feel good in our bodies and about our bodies. Most think it is about a certain weight or body size that will make them feel this way. But truthfully it is more about what you do each day that contributes to your health and wellbeing.

Are you active? Do you have a structured meal or diet plan? Do you have specific goals associated with your body and your fitness level? If the answer is no to any of these questions then most likely you are just hoping for a magic bullet or hoping that you will magically loose the fat you don’t want.

We are all entitled to live how we each see fit. But really ask yourself am I living the life in the body that I want? Am I really living my best life or am I just getting by? What do I really want from my body and my life?

A huge part of a happy life is a healthy body. Just ask anyone living on palliative care. These are people who are waiting to die essentially because there are no more therapies that may help them so they are cared with comfort in mind until they die. Ask these folks what is most important in this life and all will probably tell you if you don’t have your health then you really don’t have much at all.

Choose your life wisely. We all have one life to live and we get to choose how to live it. We can live in a body that we don’t like or we can adopt a process that helps us bring our bodies in alignment with our desires. It just takes some expertise, time, patience and a bit of fun work! Nobody ever regrets what they do in this life they regret what they don’t do.

I am love. I am joy. I am so very good.
