“Cultivating Happiness”

What does it mean to be happy? More than just feeling good or joyful it is a quality of peace in your life where you can easily navigate your ups and downs daily. This can be vey difficult in the face of so many emotions that we each face. 

The truth is we each must cultivate at attitude that doesn’t allow for outside influences to change our good disposition ever. More than just practice it takes lots of doing and avoiding to make sure your own internal peace is maintained. 

So often I have had to make tough decisions especially with people in my life. So often those around us demand our behaviors so they can feel good about us. Sounds funny doesn’t it. But the funny thing is most people operate in their relationships this way with friends and significant others and never realize that they don’t really love the person of their affections they just love what they receive from their lovers. There is a big difference. 

When we love the person that is a choice we make and it has to be done after we make it. If your always checking your mate and your own work to see if you still love them because of the way they behave then get ready for a divorce or a breakup because everyone will disappoint you at some point.

But if you choose the unconditional love to shower on those around you then you always have steady consistent ground to stand on and you are going to have a much easier and better feeling time than others.
