“Fitness Progress”

I have never pushed my daughter into fitness, I want her activities to spawn from her own excitement. So I was pleased that she recently asked me if she could come workout with good ole dad now. I said “yes!” of course. 

But I warn her to find a way to really love the process of working out not just loving the results. Getting great gains are awesome but it can’t be the reason why we do all the workouts and dieting. We have to love all these activities. 

If we do not love the activities then we run the risk of our motivation dropping out from underneath us when we don’t see the results or gains that we want. This is why and when most people who do not accomplish their fitness goals fail. They simply give up before they have aggregated enough effort to see a change. 

The easy way around this is to simply love doing all the activities that your fitness lifestyle requires. Dieting, cardio and all the great workouts. If you actually love doing them then you aren’t doing them for any other reason but to feel the great feelings that you feel when you train or eat your meals or even doing your cardio. 

Relationships are similar the most successful ones focus on the work of loving each other and they don’t wait to love their partner because they are receiving love from them. That is loving what someone offers you but it isn’t actually loving the person themselves. That kind of relationship usually ends at some point because someone makes the claim that they weren’t getting what they wanted out of the relationship. They only really love what they receive not the actual person. 

What kind of love do you have for your partner or your fitness journey. Do you love what you get from it or do you just love doing it? The answer tells more about you than your partner or activity that you are engaged in. But it is important for you to ascertain from your life if your want the smoothest and best journey. 

I am love. I am joy. I am so very good.
