Deep Pain can mean liberation

“Our deep pain often teaches us what we truly value about ourselves.” - Tadayoshi Inoue

Men, I am talking to you! We can feel deeply just like women; we were made to. So many of us have been taught to hide our emotions and to stuff all our pain, all our sorrow and all our ill feelings deep within us. We are told directly and indirectly that feeling deeply, expressing our feelings is weakness. This simply isn’t true.

I tell you that you are a feeling being. I tell you that your feelings give you power! When we hide from our pain we create within us resentment and deep anger. The truth is, we are more powerful when we acknowledge our feelings and express them freely. We do not have to be controlled by them, instead we can be freed through our expression of them. We can be freed from embarrassment. Freed from the prison of living an inauthentic life of frustration and anger.

When our feelings flow through our honest expression, we allow ourselves to say good bye to our pain and traumas. We give ourselves permission to say Good bye to hiding who we really are.

I urge you to love this emotional part of yourself. Love the wounds that life has blessed you with, because our wounds teach us how to appreciate ourselves and all the wonderful things of this life.

Much of the world is wrong! You are not weak when you cry. You are not less of a man because you feel deeply. You are a majestic protector. You are a powerful lover. You are strength incarnate! Be brave my fellow Kings! We are an honorable species. We have survived and thrived in this form on this planet for over 300,000 years! We have conquered survival on this planet. We have survived our own ignorance. Now we must embrace the fullness of who we were all meant to be.

We are love. We are joy. We are all good!
