“I say love others fully, but don’t tell them that loving them was for your benefit. Those who are being loved always feel that the love is for them, but loving is always for the lover and not the loved. Both just get to feel the benefit.” – Tad Inoue
I have always been in love with the notion of love. I have had so many wonderful relationships that have shown me how to love lightly and also how to love so very deeply. And what I know today after fifty years of loving in my life is that the quality of my life’s satisfaction is always directly proportional to my willingness and capacity to love others. I am love after all.
I try my best not to fall into the trap of loving others for any particular reasons. While it is nice at times to have a good reason to love anyone, I prefer to have no reasons. I do not want anything to get in my way of feeling the wonderful warm feelings of love whenever I see fit. After all, the love I offer the world is the me that I feel inside.
I highly recommend not looking for reasons or excuses to love anyone, just love them. And if you feel they don’t deserve it, or if you find they have treated you poorly, then love them anyways you must need it and they might too. It is you after all who benefits from your love not just the object of your attention. I am sure this was the purpose and reason love bestows such a heavy prize on our experience in this life. We are incentivized to love and when we offer it from within ourselves in its purest form, every single person on this planet benefits from it.
We are the loving energy of this universe that creates everything. Our loving purpose is to have this joyful experience. And our intentions are always good, so very good. I love you all truly as equal members of this wonderful spiritual playground.
