Do you want to change your body but for some reason you just can’t get the results that you know is possible? Well the truth is most people who desire real change get stuck before they start to really make progress. Why? Because the process of change requires us to change our thoughts especially about ourselves and this always feels challenging to us in the beginning. We literally have to re-define our ideas about who we think we are so that our beliefs start to line up with our goals for change.
Recently, I had a client Tim, who deeply desired a transformational change. For years he was the “fat guy” who was always embarrassed to take his shirt off or show himself in groups of people because he was embarrassed just to be present. Just looking at himself or even talking about his body it was obvious that he had consigned himself to always being the fat guy in the room. He felt unattractive and like a lost cause that should be given up on changing. He even referred to himself as “fatty” when he spoke about himself.
After working with him for just a couple weeks we figured out that Tim had never really believed that he was worthy of the lean and athletic look that he always admired in others. We discarded his old deep rooted beliefs about what he thought he was worthy of and we re-defined how he spoke about himself so that he could start constructing the beliefs about himself that matched his goals. In the end, Tim would lose over 100 lbs and would completely transform his body, his relationship with himself and his wife, and with his new found transformation he would go on to transform his business as well.
So, you can stop pretending to be grateful because you think that’s how you should feel. You can stop killing yourself with the latest workouts from someone who doesn’t know you or what’s really going on inside of you. None of this alone will lead to the transformation that you desire! It will most likely just keep any trauma alive in your cells, keeping you sick and stuck with little to no results. You can’t construct a great body or a life of good health, easy & flow, joy and abundance working with the physical body only, you have to work with the mind and body together to really have the transformation that you really want.
The good news is that if you focus on body and mind healing methods that actually get results then your body will change, and you will feel the freedom and confidence that progress always allows you. Your life will flow easily. People will respect you and treat you better. You will feel powerful and unstoppable. This will attract high-calibre friends, business associates, and love interests. Your entire life will get an upgrade you deserve.
