Tad’s Happy Bubble:
Oh how wonderful a thought Tolkien wrote, when he put this passage to paper in the Fellowship of the Ring! Worry, anxiety and fear seem to come to many of us when we look into our futures. Frodo also saw clouds of doom looming in his future too, but the wisdom of Gandalf was a simple and precise truth. No matter what lay before us in life, it isn’t our task to try to manufacture or even de-construct our obstacles. Instead it is only our job to figure out what we need to do with the time we have in this life. In every moment we each live, there are the seeds of everything we might wish for, and also what we might fear. And we draw to us what we focus our thoughts and our actions on. We are powerful magnets that are always drawing to us what we wish for, what we desire, what we fear and what we worry about. We must be mindful to keep an emotional perspective that allows love, joy and fun into our lives. We must be careful not to resonate with the thoughts and feelings of fear or worry. We look at our lives thorough the lenses of our current emotional states. How we feel in each moment is the best indicator of what we are asking for most in that moment. It is only when we are in a state of loving that we can easily see love. We tend to see in our own worlds what we are closest to emotionally. Just like Frodo, we all need to be reminded from time to time that we need not worry or fear, we only need to decide on the now. Gandalf was more mindful than Tolkien may have known when he wrote him. Our focus should always be on our now, this is where we live and where we can only experience love, joy and all the fun of life. I am love. I am joy. I am so very good.
