THBM:
I think Fred Rogers would be proud of so many people today. I know that I am. I am proud that I am a part of this human species, who in our time of need has come together as global community to support those in our world that may need compassion. I am proud that by just wearing a mask and by keeping my distance and staying home more I answer the call to support those who need my help in this way. There are so many different topics and issues that I can get focused on during my walk of life, some can encourage me to be frustrated and angry, but I choose to point myself at the good, at the love, and at the beauty that I see and that I feel all around me each day. Yes I see other stuff too, but if something makes me troubled or upset, then I move my awareness to something else that feels better. So I look to the birds, the trees, and all the wonderful people who I see each day offering kindness and compassion. There is so much to be thankful for and so much to be excited about. I am love. I am joy. I am so very good.
Mr Rogers and My Gratitude
“We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It's easy to say "It's not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem." Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes.” - Fred Rogers
