THBM:”Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” – Mahatma Gandhi
“Harmony can not thrive in a climate of mistrust, cheating, bullying; mean-spirited competition.” – Dalai Lama
These two great teachings go together for me. Finding harmony with our life is the essence of Taoist philosophical teachings. But what does it mean to find harmony with one’s life? Harmony can mean so much more than merely getting along. Not providing resistance to any of the elements in our life is vital, but there there is more. Harmony can be described as a being synchronistic with all the elements of our life so that the result is this wonderful organization of sights, sounds, experiences and feelings that inspire within us our joyful wellbeing. The outcomes and results of our life experience is like a dance that we participate in our whole lives. If we resist and try to control this great dance, we end up feeling frustrated and defeated because we simply lack the ability to control so many moving parts in this life just to get what we want at any given time. So harmony is the way to ease the journey of life so that we all can find our joy each day. No matter what we want in life, going with the flow of our lives and never judging our outcomes or experiences is the best way to become more available to the harmony that always benefits each of us. I am love. I am joy. I am so very good.
