Love is tossed around so much in conversation and in my opinion most do not really understand its deepest meaning. We often use it as a verb to mean what we feel for others. Or we use it as a noun to describe how we feel. But the way I understand it as well as many mystics, it is a state of being.
Love is who you are or it isn’t. Yes we can say I love you. But you can not give what you don’t have or what you are not. This expression ends up being disappointing words said with good intentions. But inevitably meaningless because the gift has nothing in its package.
Love has no requirements, it is what it is. And when you meet a person who embodies love, they don’t have to do anything you just feel this resonance from them. You are accepted without conditions. And love is received by all those who come near. But only those who are love can give love truly in this way.
So to offer love one must be love first. Everything else is merely a facsimile. Love is like a heart beat it just beats. Like breathing it just inhales. You can’t offer what you have not found within first.
Love must be first found within the stillness of our experience. It must rise up from within us through the silence of our witnessing our own mind. I know very esoteric but if you get what I am saying that becoming love is a natural witnessing of who we really are then this may not sound too out there.
I am love. I am joy. I am good.
