“Feel just a little better”

“Today I will live in the moment. Unless the moment is unpleasant, in which case I will eat a cookie.” – Unknown

If I am having an unpleasant moment with some topic then I will move change it quickly. Sometimes that means I stop talking to someone and I have to end a stressful conversation. Sometimes it means I have to change the topic in my head. If I don’t like what I am thinking about then I will move my mind’s focus toward something much more pleasant. 

The idea is to always strive to feel just a little better each day. Not a lot better but a little better than the moment before. This helps me not get overwhelmed with feeling like I have so much work to do in order to accomplish my goal of having a joyful and happy life. 

I break down the emotional goals of my life with this simply phrase. “How can I feel just a little better now?” Just a little better are the key words. A little better is easy. It is bite size and very achievable in any situation that I find myself in. 

And when I can do this for just a few minutes at a time I am feeling pretty awesome rather quickly. Once I created this as a daily habit of my behavior then I tend to have pretty awesome feeling days, weeks and months and eventually a wonderful feeling life!

I am love. I am joy. I am so very good.
