We all live in a fabricated reality box that we create within our own minds. We live in a world that we each have constructed out of the meaning of our experiences all through our lives. We seek to find meaning in everything we experience. We desire certain outcomes so we try to manufacture them based on the meaning that we have derive from our past, our observations and our assumptions about what this life will yield to us.
But what if I told you that you get to decide what reality you will live in? The truth is we do decide what reality we accept. Most of us just don’t question our reality all that much as we experience it. We accept what others may tell us, like our parents or leaders. In doing this we accept a pre-determined reality that may not suit us well. One size in this life does not fit all!
I decided long ago that I only want to live in my “Happy Bubble.” This is my name for the joyful and loving reality that exists for me when I choose it. The secret is in my willingness to believe in this entitlement of joy and love that is always available for me. So I look for these aspects in my daily experience. And I always get what I am truly looking for.
So when you are having an experience that isn’t so good, that might be making you feel anxious or sad, then sit with it. Make those feelings that don’t feel so good your mentors. Let them teach you about yourself and what you need. Then it is time to release it and let it go. Say goodbye to that experience and then say “thank you.”
When you can truly see the value of what your emotional mentors are really trying to teach you about yourself, you will feel what I feel each day…. pure gratitude for this life experience. Yes this life is so good to us if we allow it to be. I am love. I am joy. I am so very good. And so are each one of you!
