Few of us live this life experience genuinely and authentically. Not because we don’t want to or try to, but because we fight ourselves. Most of us try to embrace ourselves with love and complete acceptance by acting and representing ourselves with our own truths that come from deep within each of us. But this can be very difficult to live out honestly and consistently in a world that seems to request us to be a different than we want to be.
For many, it often feels as though the world wants us to be something that we may not feel is true to who we are. When we live out the truths of others that aren’t aligned with our own internal knowing, then we feel like we are not doing what we came here to do in our lives. We feel like we are living a lie. We feel like our life is fraudulent.
But the truth is you can’t be authentic if you feel like a fraud. Being authentic really means embracing all of our weirdness and all of our strangeness and loving it.
It takes bravery and a kind of honesty that few have people have with themselves to come to their own lives fully present and authentic. Test yourself with these questions. Are your actions and words aligned with your beliefs and values? Do you really understand why you hold the beliefs you hold about you? Have you confronted those things within you that might be holding you back? What is your sense of self-worth based on?
I am love. I am joy. I am so very good.
