We Are Connected To Nature

“Our task must be to free ourselves... by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and it's beauty.” - Albert Einstein

I have come to know at least for myself, as I practice deeper and richer ways of self love, I generally want to be in nature more. I suspect that it is because the solitude of nature inspires no negative energy or vibration unlike people and our more “civilized” surroundings can do at times. But whatever the reason, I can see how the love I have for myself is reflected in my feelings for others, but especially for nature.

Throughout the history of humankind, the spiritually enlightened went into the wilderness to find the balance, inspiration and clarity they needed to face the challenges of their situations. Buddha, Moses, Jesus just to name a few all sought the solitude of the dessert and this was the place where they each claimed to speak to what they each knew as God. To say this in a different language, the silence of nature that quiets my mind, stills my body, and opens my heart to what I am is a powerful yet loving reminder that I am love. I am joy. I am still so very good!
